KENYA AA TOP NYERI GATOMBOYA 150G

Description

• Contains one bag (150 g) of Kenya AA Top Nyeri Gatomboya, Arabica whole coffee bean.

• Gatomboya is the coffee washing station of the Barichu Farmers Cooperative Society in Nyeri County, Kenya. Cherries are hand-picked at peak ripeness, sorted by grading, and the largest size here is graded as “AA.” They are further de-pulped, dry fermented, double washed, and then dried on raised African beds at the station.

• Preparation Methods: Great for any style of filter coffee. The grinder you use and the water from your tap can alter the taste of the cup. The delicate, fruit-toned acidity of this coffee is a highlight.

• Available in light and medium roast offerings. Light for the most vibrancy; medium for more texture.

• Freshly roasted to order, dispatch within 2 business days.

Brewing FAQs

May I know the freshness period of this coffee?
• The best serving period is between days 5 and 30, from the roasting date. Your experience may slightly differ.

The recommended brew ratio?
• 1:15 (1g coffee to 15g water)
• If prefer more acidity and flavour to emerge, use 1:14.
• If prefer less acidity, use 1:16.

What is the ideal brewing temperature?
• For light roast, we recommend 93–100 °C.
• For medium roast, we're also recommending 93–100 °C.

How finely should I grind this coffee?
• Try to find that “sweet spot” setting, for the preparation method of choice.
• It will take you 1 or 2 brews to find it. As a general guideline,
• towards finer increases both strength and extraction.
• towards coarser decreases both strength and extraction.

Tips to store the coffee bean properly?
• Keep the bean in the bag we provide, zip it well, and place the bag in a dry, cool place. Doing so prolongs the bean's shelf life.

How can I get the best aroma and flavour out of this coffee?
• By grinding just before you brew. We recommend customers use their grinder for the best experience.

I have no grinder yet; can Shiren Coffee grind the coffee bean for me?
• Yes. Please leave a note in the cart section letting us know your coffee preparation method, so we may grind it correctly for you. Thanks.
