Shiren Coffee

El Salvador Cordillera De Apaneca Ossouls

El Salvador Cordillera De Apaneca Ossouls

Description

• Contains one bag (150 g) of El Salvador Cordillera de Apaneca Ossouls, Arabica whole coffee bean.

• The coffee is from the Cordillera de Apaneca, a volcanic mountain range in the west of El Salvador. Coffee grown here benefits geographically from the rich nutrients of volcanic soil. Coffee trees are shade-grown, and cherries are hand-picked. This is a classic honey-processed Salvadoran coffee.

• Preparation Methods: from French press to pour-over to espresso, the grinder you use and the water from your tap can alter the taste of the cup. This is a full-bodied, well-rounded coffee; it's great in both black and white.

• Available in medium and dark roast offerings. Medium for balance; dark for classic roast flavours.

• Freshly roasted to order, dispatch within 2 business days.

Brewing FAQs

May I know the freshness period of this coffee?
• The best serving period is between days 5 and 30, from the roasting date. Your experience may slightly differ.

The recommended brew ratio?
• 1:15 (1g coffee to 15g water)
• If prefer more acidity and flavour to emerge, use 1:14.
• If prefer more bitterness, use 1:16.

What is the ideal brewing temperature?
• For medium roast, we recommend 90–95 °C.
• For dark roast, we recommend 80–85 °C.

How finely should I grind this coffee?
• Try to find that “sweet spot” setting, for the preparation method of choice.
• It will take you 1 or 2 brews to find it. As a general guideline,
• towards finer increases both strength and extraction.
• towards coarser decreases both strength and extraction.

Tips to store the coffee bean properly?
• Keep the bean in the bag we provide, zip it well, and place the bag in a dry, cool place. Doing so prolongs the bean's shelf life.

How can I get the best aroma and flavour out of this coffee?
• By grinding just before you brew. We recommend customers use their grinder for the best experience.

I have no grinder yet; can Shiren Coffee grind the coffee bean for me?
• Yes. Please leave a note in the cart section letting us know your coffee preparation method, so we may grind it correctly for you. Thanks.

Shocked....

Tried both roasting profiles. I almost suspect that they are different beans. Taste very different.
Medium roast has a lot of fruity sweetness with very low acidity. (its like drinking a concentrated fruit juice)
As for Dark roast, the chocolate taste paired with that slight toast taste was really good. perfect for a morning cup.
